You know when you purchase something and instantly know you’re old?
Upgraded my phone (on Apple’s annual upgrade program) in person at the Apple Store today. That was a mistake. I somehow still have my old phone and will need to eventually drive all the way back there to return it because the moron helping me had no idea what he was doing.
Finally catching up on season 2 of Shrinking. I really think this might be the best show on tv with the best ensemble cast.
The mail app in iOS and iPadOS keeps getting worse but, unfortunately, it’s still the best for my needs. I just wish it updated reliably.
I have a package that has entered the black hole that is the USPS St. Louis Distribution Center. Let’s see how many days it is held there.
That new Noah Wyle show The Pitt looks like a modern ER and I’m here for it.
Seems like all the St. Louis area Smashburgers are “temporarily closed.” I wonder what’s going on. I’ll miss their Scorchin’ Hot Fries.
Spectrum increased my upload speeds. By a lot.
I ordered a base model M4 Mac Mini to replace my 2012 Mac Mini. Education discount plus $140 in Apple gift cards made it a no-brainer. It’s supposed to arrive today. Cannot wait to try out an M-series chip for the first time on a Mac.
I laid down in bed over lunch. My dog went under the covers. Guess who is back to work and guess who is still sleeping under the covers.
I’ve been playing a lot of Forza Horizon 5 and I had to buy the Universal Icons Car Pack. The DeLorean is slow as hell but fun to drive around in. You have to be going straight and slightly downhill in order to get it up to 90 mph. When it hits 88, it lights up.
I listen to a lot of podcasts. Well, a lot of hours anyway.
Happy to see a nice crowd at the USMNT game vs Jamaica at City Park, especially considering the weather.

Video quality on Micro.blog uploads is awful. It’s 2024 with video looking like 2004.
I’ve curated a pretty good list of comfort tv channels using both Pluto TV and my own media via virtual channels. A lot going on right now. This helps.
The Murder Mystery episode of Saved by the Bell is the best episode. I will not debate this.
